ZOË
MSc, PGDipCIPs, BSc(Hons)
Zoë is a Clinical Psychologist who sees the potential in others and uses evidence-based interventions to support people to take action on the things that are important to them.
Zoë predominantly works within the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy umbrella, often using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT emphasises psychological flexibility, which helps us to have the stuff we have (thoughts, emotions, memories, urges etc.) while freeing us up to do more of what is important to us. Zoë is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. Using EMDR, Zoë supports people to process traumatic memories and other adverse life experiences.

Zoë gained clinical experience working with adults in a community setting, this involved working with a diverse group of clients who were experiencing moderate to severe mental illness.
When she’s not working, Zoë loves to get outside – into the garden, out on a run, or up into the hills. You can also find her knitting, tending to her house plants, or experimenting in the kitchen.

BEN
PhD, PGDipClPs, BA(Hons)
Ben is a Clinical Psychologist who has a keen interest in working with people to take courageous steps towards being the person they want to be, while navigating the tough events, thoughts, and emotions that tend to show up when we do this.
He tends to work under a framework of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which emphasises changing how we relate to our thoughts and emotions as we take valued actions. He also uses EMDR to help navigate problematic memories and experiences. However, Ben is focused on the client and tailors his approach to the individual to maximise positive outcomes.

Outside of clinical work he spends his time either in the water off the Otago coast, or in the hills jogging with his pup.
